What is Matter?
Matter is a new and open smart home standard developed by the Connectivity Standard Alliance (CSA). Matter leverages a number of common connectivity technologies to make a truly intelligent and interconnected smart home not only possible, but simple too. With Matter your favorite smart home devices, even those from different brands, seamlessly connect and work together, unifying your devices and simplifying your life.

Matter Controllers
Matter Controllers act as central devices at the core of Matter smart homes, controlling the flow of information and making sure commands are received and completed. Matter Controllers are necessary, but don't have to be dedicated devices. Some existing devices in your home may be able to become your home's Matter Controller. Privacy and Security
Matter implements industry-leading measures to safeguard user data, keeping it away from anyone but you. It works locally, without using the cloud, for even more security. AiDot fully supports, and implements, these security measures into its Matter-compatible devices and never accesses, retains, or analyzes your data.
